The Father Usera Association, Inc., is a non-profit lay Roman Catholic Association at the national level in the continental United States and Puerto Rico. There are similar lay associations throughout the world, in countries where the Sisters of the Love of God are present. These lay associations honor the life and work of the Servant of God Jerónimo Mariano Usera y Alarcón (1810-1891), and serve to disseminate his charism of acting out of love of God in all things. The Association calls us to a renewed commitment on the part of the laity to recognize God's intense love for us and to correspond. It is hoped that this commitment motivates the membership to lead lives which follow the precepts of the Roman Catholic Church, fomenting harmony within the human family comprised of all races and ethnic groups. It is further hoped that the member's prayer life be enhanced, as well as the frequency of receiving the sacrament of reconciliation and communion, necessary to strengthen us spiritually and as a means of reciprocating God's love for us.
The association sponsors various activities and apostolate, both nationally and
internationally, which are consistent with its mission. The Association also disseminates
information relating to Father Usera and his cause for canonization, information on the
Sisters of the Love of God and disseminates prayer cards.
